Creative Strategist

Commemorating the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall in 2019, the 20,000 sq. ft. kinetic installation spanned 450 ft. at the Brandenburg Gate, where the former wall divided the city. The artwork is comprised of approximately 120,000 pieces of sailcloth containing handwritten messages of hope, unity and peace, collected in community engagement campaigns throughout Germany and California. The installation was contributed to by thousands of individuals sharing their hopes, dreams, wishes and memories--from young children to Nobel peace prize winners, from celebrities to dignitaries including Prime Minister Angela Merkel to actor David Hasselhoff.

The installation was a visited by over 1 million people in person in Berlin during and broadcasted to millions more internationally during Kulturprojekte Berlin’s 10-day Maurfall Festival.
